Asin Thottumkal (born October 26, 1985[1]) is an award-winning Indian film actress from the state of Kerala. Currently , she is considered to be one of the most popular actresses in the South Indian film industry.
Making her acting debut in Sathyan Anthikkad's Narendra Makan Jayakanthan Vaka (2001), Asin had her first commercial success with Amma Nanna O Tamila Ammayi in 2003, and won a Filmfare Award for the Best Telugu Actress for the film.

Abhiyum Naanum is a Tamil language feature film produced by Prakash Raj and directed by Radha Mohan. The movie, which has a critically acclaimed storyline, stars actress Trisha Krishnan in the prime role with Prakash Raj playing a pivotal role as her father. Aishwarya, replaced both Lakshmi Gopalaswamy and Kushboo as the character of the protagonist's mother, while popular actor Prithviraj is set to play a cameo. Vidyasagar is set to scored the music for the film whilst Mu.Kasivishwanathan is handling the editing respectively. The film started principal photography in October 2007 and released in December 2008.
