Selvaraghavan's much hyped film Aayirathil Oruvan is in trouble. The movie starring Karthi, Reema, Parthiban, and Andrea, finds no takers among distributors and theatre owners. None of the areas have so far been sold, as the distributors are hesitant to purchase the film at the (high) rates quoted by Selvaraghavan.

Though some distributors showed some positive intent, they too are said to be apprehensive about the 'story' of the film and how it would be received by the general public. Selvaraghavan's recent innocuous statement that he has 'deviated' from his usual style of film-making for 'Aayirathil Oruvan' hasn't helped matters either.

Producer Raveendran is trying his best, reportedly, to sell off the telecast rights of the filmto either Sun TV or Kalaignar TV for some crores, thereby ensuring that he won't face any further losses. The price offered by the channels too is not very encouraging at all, sources say.
