Inside Guantanamo

On his second day in office US President Barack Obama promised to close down the notorious Guantanamo Bay prison. As part of the Obama administration's promise to be an open and accessible administration, NDTV's Sarah Jacob was allowed to visit Guantanamo.

We bring you exclusive pictures from inside the high security prison.

Here in this picture, the basic possessions a detainee is allowed are displayed in a maximum security cell at Camp V Delta. The items include an orange uniform, sandals, a Quran and prayer beads

The detention centre is fenced with barbed wire and stadium lighting.
